You are about to begin your Virginia Placement Test English exam session. Before proceeding pay special attention to the following guidelines.
1. Avoid using any online translators. This document is written in English. If you are viewing this text in any other language, it means that your browser has an automatic translation plug-in enabled. You must disable any tool that translates the text presented. Use of any assistive tools such as online dictionaries, translators, artificial intelligence bots, or any other assistive mechanisms will be grounds for cancellation of your examination rights.
2. You must work through your exam session with a single maximized browser window. Every time that a student switches screens, browser tabs, or works in non-maximized windows is recorded by our infrastructure. If any prohibited supportive behavior is presumed, your results will be cancelled.
3. The exam requires a minimum resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels on a screen size greater than 11 inches, so a desktop or laptop computer is strongly advised. We suggest the use of Google Chrome browser during your exam session for a better experience.
4. You must set aside a period of two hours and 15 minutes free of interruptions to complete your exam session. It is not possible to save your partial progress once you have started your exam.
5. If you are not ready to take your exam at this time, you may return to the student panel and take your exam at another time. If you understand the above guidelines and wish to take your exam, you may do so now.
